Parenting a child with a developmental disability while rewarding, has its challenges – with few, if any breaks. Often families are faced with financial, physical and emotional challenges.

Respitality is a unique program that connects parents and primary caregivers with the hospitality industry. It brings community based businesses and local service providers together to provide families with supportive respite evenings. Families may receive options for lodging in a local hotel or B&B, complementary meals and extras such as spa treatments or other entertainment options.

Who is eligible?

Applicants must be the parent/primary caregivers of a child under 19 with a developmental disability, residing in their home, and referred by MCFD.

You can help

Generous donations from local businesses make Respitality possible. MACL welcomes donations of certificates for accommodations, spa treatments, salon services, dining and entertainment – gifts of renewal for devoted parents.
